Heikki Almay is cofounder of Poutanet, www.poutanet.com, a startup delivering simple private mobile networks for enterprises and communities in Europe and Africa. Heikki has a long history at Nokia where IP connectivity solutions for mobile networks were to a large extent his handwriting. Later he was leading mobile network architecture development. He is a strong promoter of openness initiatives. He was e.g., active in setting up the Telecom Infra Project. Today he is a frequent speaker at IEEE events and passionate about closing the digital divide and connecting the unconnected.
