Privacy Policy
Last Updated: August 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how TeckNexus LLC (“TeckNexus,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use TeckNexus.com and our content, accounts, newsletters, publications, intelligence products, interactive tools, assessments, calculators, guided journeys, award programs, memberships, events, commercial services, and related offerings (collectively, the “Services”).
This Policy applies to personal information processed by TeckNexus as a business or data controller. It does not govern information processed independently by third-party websites, tools, sponsors, payment providers, or other services that have their own privacy notices.
1. Personal Information We Collect
Depending on how you interact with TeckNexus, we may collect the following categories of information:
- Contact and identity information, such as name, business email, telephone number, username, and account identifiers.
- Professional and organization information, such as employer or company, role, industry, company size, country, and business interests.
- Account and subscription information, including access level, team or organization association, login activity, preferences, saved projects, and entitlement information.
- Transaction and billing information, such as purchase history, invoice details, billing contact details, transaction status, and limited payment-related information. Payment card details are generally processed by our payment providers rather than stored directly by TeckNexus.
- Intelligence Tool information, including answers, selections, assumptions, project context, maturity indicators, use-case priorities, network or technology requirements, and other information you submit to generate an assessment, calculator result, benchmark, scorecard, report, recommendation, or guided journey output.
- Content and program submissions, including award nominations, articles, whitepapers, biographies, company descriptions, case-study information, images, logos, quotes, approvals, and other materials submitted for editorial, Awards, partner, or commercial programs.
- Communications and marketing information, including enquiries, support requests, newsletter subscriptions, event registrations, campaign engagement, consent choices, and communication preferences.
- Device, usage, and technical information, such as IP address, browser and device information, operating system, referral information, pages or tools viewed, interactions, timestamps, approximate location derived from IP address, and cookie or similar identifiers.
- Derived or inferred information, such as general interests, product engagement, maturity categories, benchmark segments, or other analytics derived from your interactions with the Services.
Please do not submit highly sensitive personal information, confidential personal data, regulated health information, government identification numbers, financial account credentials, or other sensitive information through a TeckNexus tool unless the Service expressly asks for it and explains why it is needed.
2. Sources of Personal Information
- Directly from you when you register, subscribe, purchase, complete a tool, submit a form, nominate an Awards entry, provide content, contact us, or participate in a program.
- Automatically from your device and use of the Services through cookies, logs, analytics, advertising technologies, embedded services, and similar technologies.
- From your organization or colleagues, for example when an organization purchases access for a team or submits your information as an authorized contact.
- From service providers and business partners, such as payment processors, email or event platforms, account or security providers, analytics providers, and partners involved in a program you choose to join.
- From public and professional sources where appropriate for business research, editorial activity, company verification, or business-to-business outreach.
3. How We Use Personal Information
We may use personal information to:
- provide, operate, authenticate, maintain, and secure the Services;
- create and manage accounts, subscriptions, team access, saved projects, and user preferences;
- process transactions, invoices, renewals, payments, and related customer support;
- process Intelligence Tool inputs and generate reports, scores, benchmarks, recommendations, decision paths, or other requested outputs;
- administer Awards, editorial submissions, memberships, events, sponsorships, lead-generation programs, partner programs, and commercial engagements;
- communicate about requested Services, account changes, security matters, support requests, policy changes, and other transactional matters;
- send newsletters, product updates, event information, research, and marketing communications where permitted by law and consistent with your preferences. Creating an account, purchasing a Service, or using an Intelligence Tool does not by itself subscribe you to marketing communications where separate consent is required;
- measure audience engagement, improve usability, develop new Services, conduct research, and understand how users interact with TeckNexus;
- create aggregated, de-identified, or anonymized analytics, benchmarks, research, and industry intelligence;
- detect fraud, abuse, security threats, and violations of our terms; protect TeckNexus, users, and third parties; and enforce agreements;
- comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, establish or defend legal claims, and respond to lawful requests; and
- carry out another purpose disclosed to you when the information is collected or with your consent.
4. Intelligence Tools, Assessments, and Benchmarking
4.1 Independent TeckNexus Tools
For tools developed independently by TeckNexus, individual responses and outputs are used to provide the requested tool experience, generate reports, support your saved project or account where applicable, maintain and improve the tool, and perform internal analytics. We do not provide an unrelated vendor with visibility into your individual results merely because the vendor is mentioned in content or belongs to a relevant market category.
4.2 Co-Developed or Sponsored Tools
A sponsored or co-developed tool will identify the applicable sponsor or partner. TeckNexus shares contact or lead information with the named sponsor only when you affirmatively opt in to that sponsor connection or data sharing. Consent to sponsor contact does not by itself authorize disclosure of your individual assessment answers, response data, or full results. TeckNexus will share those individual responses or results with a sponsor only if you provide a separate, explicit consent specifically describing that additional sharing.
4.3 Aggregated and De-Identified Benchmarking
We may combine tool responses or other information and transform them into aggregated, de-identified, or anonymized information for benchmarking, research, product development, trend analysis, and industry intelligence. We design this processing so that published or shared benchmark information does not identify individual users or participating organizations. We may retain and use aggregated or de-identified benchmark information after the underlying identifiable account or project data is deleted. We do not attempt to re-identify information that we treat as de-identified, except as permitted by law for testing security or compliance controls.
4.4 Automated Scoring and Decision Support
Some Services use automated rules, scoring logic, calculations, or AI-assisted processing to produce decision-support outputs. These outputs are intended to assist business and technology planning. TeckNexus does not use these tools to make employment, credit, housing, insurance, healthcare, or other decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about individual users.
5. Legal Bases for Processing
Where a law such as the EU or UK GDPR requires a legal basis, TeckNexus generally relies on one or more of the following: performance of a contract or steps requested before entering a contract; our legitimate interests in operating, securing, improving, and marketing our business-to-business Services; your consent where required, including for certain marketing or partner-sharing activities; and compliance with legal obligations. Where we rely on legitimate interests, we consider whether those interests are overridden by your rights and interests.
6. How We Disclose Personal Information
We may disclose personal information in the following circumstances:
- Service providers. We use vendors that support hosting, security, analytics, communications, customer management, forms, payments, document delivery, events, and other operational functions. They receive information reasonably necessary to perform services for us and are expected to handle it subject to contractual or legal obligations.
- Sponsors and partners at your direction or with your consent. For example, if you expressly request an introduction or consultation through a sponsored tool, we may provide the information identified in that consent flow to the named sponsor.
- Your organization. If your employer or organization purchases or administers team access, authorized administrators may receive information needed to manage licenses, users, or billing. We do not provide administrators with private tool responses unless the Service or organization arrangement clearly provides for that access.
- Professional advisers and transaction parties. We may disclose information to legal, accounting, insurance, financing, due-diligence, or corporate transaction advisers subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
- Legal, safety, and enforcement purposes. We may disclose information where we reasonably believe it is necessary to comply with law, legal process, sanctions, or governmental requests; enforce agreements; detect or prevent fraud or security incidents; or protect rights, safety, property, or the integrity of the Services.
- Business transfers. Information may be transferred in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale of assets, or similar corporate transaction, subject to applicable law.
- With your instruction or consent. We may disclose information for another purpose that you direct or affirmatively accept.
TeckNexus does not sell personal information for money. Depending on the analytics, advertising, or similar technologies used on the Site, some disclosures may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under certain U.S. state privacy laws. If an applicable privacy law gives you a right to opt out of such processing, you may exercise that right by contacting us using the methods described in this Policy or through any applicable mechanism made available on the Site.
7. Marketing Communications
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in the message or by contacting us. Creating an account, purchasing a Service, completing a tool, or requesting a report does not by itself require you to subscribe to marketing communications. Where consent is required for a particular marketing channel, marketing consent is requested separately from account creation, tool completion, sponsor-sharing consent, or other Service transactions. We may continue sending non-marketing communications about your account, transactions, security, purchased Services, or legal notices.
8. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies for website functionality, preferences, analytics, embedded content, advertising, and related purposes. The controls currently available may include browser or device settings, third-party controls, and any cookie notice or other mechanism made available on the Site. For more information about our current use of these technologies and your choices, see the Cookies Policy.
9. Data Retention
We retain identifiable account, saved-project, Intelligence Tool response, and generated-artifact data while the relevant account or relationship is active and ordinarily for up to 24 months after the account or relationship becomes inactive. We may retain particular records for a longer period when reasonably necessary for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, security, contractual, dispute-resolution, or other legitimate recordkeeping purposes. Marketing, transaction, Awards, editorial, and commercial-program records may follow different retention periods based on their purpose and legal requirements. Aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified benchmarking and research information may be retained longer because it is maintained without identifying individual users or organizations. When identifiable information is no longer needed, we may delete, aggregate, anonymize, or otherwise de-identify it.
10. Data Security
TeckNexus uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No internet transmission, storage system, or security program can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting account credentials and for using appropriate security controls when accessing the Services.
11. International Data Transfers
TeckNexus is based in the United States and may process information in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. These countries may have data-protection laws different from those in your jurisdiction. Where required, we use appropriate contractual or other safeguards for international transfers.
12. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have rights to request access to personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, restriction of processing, portability, objection to certain processing, withdrawal of consent, or information about how data is used or disclosed. You may also have rights to opt out of certain targeted advertising, sale, or sharing of personal information, or to limit certain uses of sensitive personal information.
12.1 California and Other U.S. State Privacy Rights
Where applicable U.S. state privacy laws apply to TeckNexus, residents may have rights that include knowing or accessing personal information, deletion, correction, portability, non-discriminatory treatment, and opting out of certain sale, sharing, or targeted-advertising activities. The availability and scope of these rights depend on the law that applies. Requests may be submitted using the contact information in this Policy. See the Cookies Policy for current controls relating to cookies and similar technologies.
12.2 EEA, United Kingdom, and Similar Jurisdictions
Where the EU GDPR, UK GDPR, or similar law applies, you may have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent. You may also lodge a complaint with the data-protection authority in your jurisdiction.
12.3 Exercising Rights
To submit a privacy request, contact contact@tecknexus.com and identify the right you want to exercise. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law, subject to verification. We will respond within the period required by applicable law. You may appeal a denial where applicable law provides an appeal right.
13. Children
The Services are directed to business and professional audiences and are intended for users who are at least 18 years old or the applicable age of legal majority, whichever is higher. TeckNexus does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 through account, purchasing, subscription, Intelligence Tool, Awards, membership, or commercial-program features. If you believe a person under 18 has provided personal information to TeckNexus, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
14. Third-Party Links and Services
The Services may link to or embed third-party websites, tools, videos, event platforms, social services, payment services, or other resources. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices. Review those notices before providing personal information to a third party.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our Services, technologies, business practices, or legal obligations change. We will update the “Last Updated” date and provide additional notice when required by law. Material changes apply prospectively unless law permits otherwise.
