The West Yorkshire-based company provides venue security, event security, and crowd management services that are robust yet customer-friendly and designed to create the best possible audience experiences.
Gough & Kelly operatives use Storm devices fitted with multi-SIM cards for instant communications with individuals and groups of colleagues, overcoming the bandwidth challenges normally associated with large crowds of people when both mobiles and two-way radios can fail. Stormโ€™s push-to-talk system has an availability of 99.999 percent, the gold standard for cellular networks.
Gough & Kelly has already used Storm for events in Leeds, Sheffield, and London, including at the official London New Year’s Eve 2023, a sellout fireworks display along the Victoria Embankment, which attracted more than 100,000 paying visitors and millions of viewers online and on TV.
Nathan Appleby, events operations manager at Gough & Kelly, said: โ€œThese are impressive PTT devices; I had the opportunity to use them in London at the New Yearโ€™s Eve firework display, where cellular signal is known to be a challenge on the night. All our team members found them easy to use and the Storm platform performed well for us. We are keen to roll out this solution for more contracts in the near future.โ€
Gough & Kelly clients include Leeds United Football Club, Castleford Tigers, universities, and local authorities for city center festivals and Christmas markets.

Vantage will invest more than $25 billion to build Frontier, a 1,200-acre, 10-building campus totaling roughly 3.7 million square feet near Abilene, about 120 miles west of Dallas Fort Worth. The 4.44.94 GHz range offers the cleanest mix of technical performance, policy feasibility, and global alignment to move the U.S. ahead in 6G. Midband is where 6G will scale, and 4 GHz sits in the sweet spot. A contiguous 500 MHz block supports wide channels (100 MHz+), strong uplink, and macro coverage comparable to C-Band, but with more spectrum headroom. India has cleared a high-capacity semiconductor fabrication plant slated to produce up to 50,000 300mm wafers per month, a cornerstone move to localize chip supply for telecom, cloud, automotive, and industrial electronics. India’s electronics and IT leadership confirmed plans for a large-scale silicon fab with a targeted capacity of 50,000 wafers per month. The project is being led by Tata Group, with technology partnership support widely expected from a specialty foundry player, aligning with earlier approvals for mature-node logic and power processes. The fab is planned in Gujarat’s industrial corridor, building on India’s recent momentum in assembly, test, and packaging investments.
