SecurityGen, the global security provider of telecom security solutions and services, proudly unveils its new cutting-edge 5G Cyber Security Lab. This innovative solution will empower mobile network operators to become knowledgeable about their 5G networks in order to protect them from digital threats. The lab serves as a beneficial tool for MNO teams who want to stay ahead with effective cyber defense strategies.

With the 5G Cyber-security Lab, security teams can safely and thoroughly investigate telecom technologies in a self-contained simulated environment that encompasses all of the necessary components for a 5G network.

During the launch of SecurityGen’s 5G Cyber-security lab, co-founder and CTO Dmitry Kurbatov expressed his opinion on why it was created: “The concept behind this lab is rooted in simple logic – to master something new, you must understand its intricacies. This theory holds true for 5G networks as well.”

Our telecoms security team has crafted a Lab that is not only secure but also simple and cost-effective for MNOs. This environment provides the perfect setting for these teams to evaluate, comprehend and protect their networks from 5G-related threats. As he stated: “We have designed this Lab to be focused on providing MNO security teams with a simple, cost-effective, and security-centric environment.”

Our team of R&D engineers has spent countless hours in the simulated environment to research 5G security. As a result, our brand-new 5G Cyber-security Lab is tailored for network operator groups and their security teams. The lab helps these professionals identify essential security requirements and provides them with verified methods to protect the system against any potential dangers. Our new lab simplifies an otherwise daunting task by proving its efficacy – boosting your confidence that you are safe from malicious attacks.

Kurbatov concluded, “We began with the notion of constructing a “gym” for MNO security teams to practice and improve their 5G play. Our new laboratory is the perfect atmosphere for operators to guarantee a secure and successful transition from outdated networks to 5G.”

President Trump’s executive order to modernize environmental permitting may streamline U.S. infrastructure projects—but it notably omits telecom and broadband. Industry experts say pole attachments, state permitting rules, and access to federal lands remain critical hurdles. While the order could bring indirect benefits, real telecom reform still requires sector-specific solutions.
Airtel has acquired 400 MHz of 26 GHz mmWave spectrum from Adani Data Networks, a move that strengthens its high-speed 5G offerings in urban and enterprise zones. The deal enhances Airtel’s ability to scale fixed wireless access, industrial 5G networks, and high-bandwidth consumer services. With India’s spectrum demand surging, this acquisition underscores the critical role of efficient spectrum use and signals a new phase of telecom consolidation.
ETSI has published its first ISAC report for 6G—ETSI GR ISC 001—highlighting 18 use cases across healthcare, public safety, automation, and mobility. The report dives into deployment scenarios, sensing modalities, and KPIs like fine motion accuracy and sensing latency. It also outlines security, privacy, and sustainability guidelines for real-world ISAC integration into 6G networks.
In 2025, 5G surpasses 2.25 billion global connections, marking a pivotal shift toward mainstream adoption. While North America leads in performance and per capita usage, challenges in spectrum policy and enterprise integration remain. This in-depth report from 5G Americas explores the rise of Standalone 5G, the promise of 5G-Advanced, the reality of private network deployments, and the need for smart, forward-looking spectrum strategy.
Confidencial.io will unveil its unified AI data governance platform at RSAC 2025. Designed to secure unstructured data in AI workflows, the system applies object-level Zero Trust encryption and seamless compliance with NIST/ISO frameworks. It protects AI pipelines and agentic systems from sensitive data leakage while supporting safe, large-scale innovation.
The integration of tariffs and the EU AI Act creates a challenging environment for the advancement of AI and automation. Tariffs, by increasing the cost of essential hardware components, and the EU AI Act, by increasing compliance costs, can significantly raise the barrier to entry for new AI and automation ventures. European companies developing these technologies may face a double disadvantage: higher input costs due to tariffs and higher compliance costs due to the AI Act, making them less competitive globally. This combined pressure could discourage investment in AI and automation within the EU, hindering innovation and slowing adoption rates. The resulting slower adoption could limit the availability of crucial real-world data for training and improving AI algorithms, further impacting progress.
