FNT will Support Blackfoot Communications’ Multi-Year, Multi-Million Dollar Fiber Project, Automate Provisioning Processes, and Consolidate Data into a Single Source of Truth through its FNT Command and FNT GeoMaps Platforms 


New York, New York (June 6th, 2024) – FNT Software, a leading provider of software solutions for the integrated management of IT, data center, and telecommunication infrastructures worldwide, today announced its partnership with Blackfoot Communications, a leading provider of voice, broadband and fiber-based connectivity to homes and businesses in Western Montana and Eastern Idaho. Blackfoot Communications will utilize the FNT Command Platform and FNT GeoMaps application to document and manage its extensive communications network.  

FNT Software will consolidate all copper, fiber, and logical records into FNT Command. As a centralized, integrated system for the management of all network and service resources, FNT Command provides all the information and functionality needed for planning, engineering, service fulfillment, and service assurance processes.

The functionalities covered by FNT Command and FNT GeoMaps are extensive, addressing the specific needs of Blackfoot Communications. These include OSP Fiber Plant Records, GPON mapping and records, PON Design Automation, and comprehensive equipment records, which allow for detailed rack-shelf-slot-port documentation and visual rack views. The platform also supports easy-to-read DLRs and circuit records, providing physical and logical circuit tracking, primary and alternate circuit paths, and traceroute capabilities.  

Additionally, FNT Command includes DWDM/CWDM, fiber characteristics, and site-specific information such as address details, notes, and photos. Integration with IPAM and Geo Spatial Mapping, particularly through the ESRI ARC GIS interface, further enhances the system’s utility. The solution’s growth and integration potential, bolstered by FNT’s Entity Manager and API Manager, allows for seamless integration with existing systems without extensive customization, a key benefit for Blackfoot Communications. Moreover, the platform offers cost-effective integration and licensing fees, making it an attractive choice for many companies.
