What inspired Invences to focus on agriculture for private 5G, and how has the FarmGrid platform evolved from the initial Fargo deployment to the current multi-state rollout?
Speaker: Bhaskara
From the initial Fargo deployment to the current multi-state rollout, we have been working extensively on enterprise private networks across several industries, including oil and gas, utilities, and manufacturing. During this journey, we found agriculture to be a particularly interesting and impactful area.
When we met with Trilogy Networksโspecifically George and Winkyโtheir vision inspired us. They aimed to build ten digital corridors across ten states, encompassing one hundred sites, all focused on empowering farmers. This initiative aligned closely with our mission and technological capabilities.
We recognized that agriculture presents tremendous opportunities for connectivity. Numerous IoT devices can be integrated into the network, and Trilogyโs FarmGrid platform plays a vital role in this ecosystem. It collects, converts, and synthesizes data before sending it back in actionable formats, helping to transform the day-to-day lives of farmers.
Additionally, by 2050, the world is projected to face significant food shortages. This reality motivates us to contribute to increasing agricultural productivity and yield through innovation and connectivity. That shared goal brought us together, and we have been closely collaborating since.
Our first project began in North Dakota, and now we are expanding further with the next deployment in Yuma, which we have been actively discussing this week.
