Invences is collaborating with Trilogy, WISPs, and regional operators. How does this partnership model accelerate rural connectivity and make deployments financially sustainable?
Speaker: Bhaskara
From a partnership perspective, we are closely collaborating with Trilogy Networks, regional operators, and wireless internet service providers (WISPs) to expand connectivity in rural areas. Today, approximately 70% of agricultural land in the United Statesโand a significant portion globallyโremains unconnected. Addressing this gap requires both technological innovation and sustainable business models.
Our collaborative approach follows a BuildโOperateโTransfer (BOT) model. Together with Trilogy and local WISPs, we first build the network infrastructure in these underserved regions, leveraging the expertise and proximity of local partners. Next, we operate the network for a period, during which we provide hands-on training to local operators and service providers. Finally, we transfer full ownership and operational responsibility to them, ensuring long-term sustainability and local empowerment.
This model not only accelerates the deployment of private 5G and edge connectivity but also ensures financial viability. By involving regional players from the start, the model reduces dependency on large-scale centralized operations and fosters local entrepreneurship. It allows smaller operators to manage, maintain, and monetize these networks within their communities.
Ultimately, the BuildโOperateโTransfer framework enables a scalable, inclusive approach to rural digital transformationโbridging the connectivity gap while creating self-sufficient ecosystems capable of supporting precision agriculture and smart farming for decades to come.
