What Makes a Winning Submission

All entries are evaluated by the TeckNexus editorial panel using a standardized rubric. Every criterion carries equal weight — strong submissions address all of them.

No.CriterionWhat Judges Look For
01Title & Category FitA concise, impactful title that maps clearly to the selected category. Vague or misaligned titles score low regardless of content quality.
02Use Case IntroductionClear deployment context and alignment with current industry trends. Sets the stage — judges should know immediately why this entry matters.
03Problem Statement & ObjectivesA well-defined challenge with demonstrated urgency and industry significance. Generic problem statements do not score well.
04Solution Innovation & PracticalityWhat makes this solution distinct from conventional approaches — and evidence that it works in production, not just in theory.
05Technology Choice & JustificationClear rationale for the chosen technology (5G, LTE, CBRS, Open RAN) and a direct link between that choice and the problem being solved.
06Measurable Benefits & KPIsQuantifiable outcomes backed by operational metrics. Judges weight evidence-backed claims significantly higher than stated benefits without data.
07Industry Impact & ScalabilityPotential for replication, trend-setting impact, and contribution to broader digital transformation beyond the single deployment.
08Company Role & Partner CollaborationClear articulation of your organization’s specific contributions and evidence of partner synergy — not just a list of logos.
09Deployment Status & RoadmapCurrent implementation stage (trial, testing, deployed, production) plus a credible plan for scale or expansion.
10Supporting Evidence & EndorsementsThird-party validation — customer quotes, press releases, case study URLs, or video. Credible external voices materially strengthen scores.
11Use Case NarrativeA compelling, publication-ready summary. This is what TeckNexus editors use for award spotlights and magazine features — write it accordingly.

What Makes a Winning Leader Nomination | Leader of the Year Award

The Leader of the Year award recognizes a senior executive who has demonstrably shaped the trajectory of private networks – through strategic vision, enterprise adoption, ecosystem development, or industry advocacy. Nominees must hold or have held a VP-level or above role during the nomination period (2024–2026).

Who can nominate: Any organization – you do not need to be the nominee’s employer. Nominations from customers, partners, or industry peers carry additional credibility with the judging panel. Self-nominations are accepted.

Selection process: Finalists are selected by the TeckNexus editorial panel from all qualifying nominations. A community signal is incorporated at the shortlist stage. The final winner is determined by editorial panel scoring.

No.CriterionWhat Judges Look For
01Strategic VisionDid this leader define or redirect a product, platform, or market strategy that advanced private network adoption?
02Industry InfluenceHas this leader shaped how the market thinks — through standards bodies, keynotes, published positions, or media presence?
03Measurable Business ImpactQuantifiable outcomes tied to their leadership: deployment scale, customer wins, revenue growth, or market expansion.
04Ecosystem DevelopmentPartnerships built, channels enabled, or enterprise programs cultivated under their direction.
05Enterprise Customer OutcomesEnd-user organizations that achieved measurable results from decisions made under their leadership.
06Team & Organizational LeadershipEvidence of building high-performing teams, enabling others to lead, or driving organizational capability in private networks.
07Thought LeadershipKeynotes, publications, panels, standards contributions, or policy engagement in 2024–2026.
08Advocacy & Market EducationContribution to raising enterprise or government awareness of private network value — beyond their own company’s marketing.
09Peer & Customer EndorsementsThird-party testimonials from customers, partners, analysts, or industry bodies. Judges weight external voices heavily.
10Compelling Leadership NarrativeA clear, publication-ready account of impact — not a career summary. This is what TeckNexus will publish if the nominee wins.

Note: Leader of the Year uses a 10-point rubric. Supporting evidence and customer endorsements together carry the highest combined weight in final scoring.
