Integrating the Private 5G Core Without Disrupting Port Operations

Working with LMT and the port operator, what were the key challenges in integrating the private 5G core with existing port systems — and how did you overcome them without disrupting ongoing operations?

Speaker: Fergal Concannon (Druid Software)

LMT, along with its integration teams, had a very solid plan in place. They worked closely with the terminal operator to ensure that every step of the deployment was carried out without impacting port operations.

From the Druid’s side, we provided full support to LMT to ensure they thoroughly understood how to deploy and manage the Druid core. This collaboration ensured the network was effectively implemented and fully operational from day one—delivering all the required services to maintain continuous port operations.

The entire process was executed smoothly, without any interference or disruption to the ongoing activities of the port.
