Technology is designed to enhance the customer experience by delivering end-to-end service performance. When deployed, the solution will also enable Singtel to offer more innovative 5G services by leveraging virtual networks optimized for different applications or isolating enterprise customers’ secure slices from Internet traffic.

Singtel announced that it is one of the world’s first to have 5G Security-as-a-Slice (SecaaS) as a capability, which proactively identifies and blocks cyber threats at the network level, thus preventing them from reaching the network’s users. According to a survey by Singtel among its customers in December 2022, nine out of 10 users expressed concern about security but only three had installed cybersecurity applications to protect their digital assets.

CELLSMART, the cellular intelligence division of SmartCIC, has launched its latest Global Cellular Performance Survey, which shows that maximum 5G download speeds available in the field have reached nearly 1 Gbps. Test results showed Norway (994 Mbps) and Spain (993.60 Mbps) topping the rankings for maximum 5G download speeds for indoors and outdoors.
