Thorsten Schmitt

Thorsten is a computer scientist with a background in embedded systems, autonomous robotics, computer vision, and AI. He has been with BMW for almost 20 years, mainly within the development department for customer functions. He has worked on applications within the BMW navigation system and for autonomous parking systems. As Technical Product Manager for Automated Valet Parking, his overall objective is to establish an interoperable AVP ecosystem for the customers of all car brands.
